A film examining an incident in Danish history: the liquidations of 400 persons by the Danish resistance movement during the German occupation. After a long silence and for the first time on film, a number of people who participated in the liquidations discuss their experiences and the consequences. After the war, the liquidations were covered up. It was a conscious policy that left a bloody trail through the lives of many people. The film consists of interviews, documentary footage and reconstructions of important events.
